What I miss and do not miss about Pregnancy

3 October 2008 No Comment

After 3 months postpartum I’m starting to miss a few things about being pregnant. I spent over 9 months with a little person growing inside me. I was experiencing a miracle and building a crazy strong bond to my daughter. But even after creating a list of everything I miss about being pregnant, there is no way I would go back because I am so excited to wake up everyday to see that beautiful smiling baby face.

My Sister as Miss. Fitness & Me at 8 Months Pregnant What I miss about Pregnancy

  1. Wearing all kinds of pajamas, on any day and at any time of the day I wanted, without anyone thinking I was lazy.
  2. Temporary Breasts.
  3. The extra deliciousness of food and being able to eat all of it at once (except chicken the first 6 months).
  4. The waddle. Yes, I even miss the waddle.
  5. The excitement of getting a sonogram, knowing I was getting a sneak peak at my daughter.
  6. Having so much alone time with my husband, planning our life together, and anticipating our new family.
  7. The little kicks which remind you there is a little life in there waiting to come out.
  8. Watching the expressions on people’s faces when they felt or watched the baby kick.
  9. Having an excuse to be cranky, mad, happy or just downright emotional for no reason at all or every reason in the world.
  10. Having my life changed forever.

What I do not miss about pregnancy

  1. Being cranky, mad, happy or just downright emotional for no reason at all or every reason in the world.
  2. Having my life changed forever.
  3. Not being able to sleep on my back or at all.
  4. Worrying about everything from money to the baby’s health to why the baseboards were not spotless.
  5. Feeling like a rolly pollie and gaining some serious poundage. :/
  6. Fear of childbirth.
  7. Kankles.
