37 Week Pregnancy Doctor Appointment
Today was my 37 week doctor appointment. The doctor did all of the usual including checking out my fabulous kankles, listening to the baby’s heart beat, checking blood pressure, etc. She gave us the results of last weeks test for Group Strep B. I do not have it which is good news.
Aubrey has dropped about 1 inch when compared to last weeks visit and her head is in my pelvis. The doctor estimated that I am about 1 centimeter dilated and that labor could begin at any time. I’ve had Braxton Hicks contractions for the past few weeks and more recently, probably for the past few days, I have also had menstrual cramps both in the front and in my lower back. I haven’t had any bleeding and my water has not broke (is it broke or broken?).
It is my doctor’s policy to induce labor no later than one week after the official due date. Therefore, no matter what Aubrey will be here by June 28th.
She is also making me stop work earlier than I planned (which, with the way I am feeling, is great news). I can only work part time the rest of this week and I have to start maternity leave next Monday, June 9th. What am I going to do with myself? Sleep, sleep and more sleep.

Two featured videos this time! This was my daughter in my belly 37-38 weeks pregnant. It says Aubrey because we changed her name to Lily at the very last second. In the first video, around 1:23 you can see the belly really start to move.
And here is a really big kick.
