The Thermometer Pacifier
This pacifier doubles as a thermometer which is a great idea. It is a digital thermometer inside of a silicone pacifier. There was a study done to test its effectiveness. They compared the temperatures given by the pacifier thermometer to a rectal thermometer. It did pretty well although it did require about 3 minutes to provide a reading with the pacifier thermometer. They recommend it for home use so you probably won’t see it at the doctor’s office. This costs between $8 and $15 depending on the brand.
Keep-it-Kleen Pacifier
This pacifier closes before it falls to the floor or for easy storage. The cost is between $3-$5. It has mixed reviews. Most agree that it is innovative and a neat idea but babies young enough to need a pacifier can get frustrated with it because it closes so easily. The Keep-it-Kleen Pacifier is made by RazBaby.
