How to: Make Pollo Asada-itas!

Pollo Asada-itas are mini seasoned chicken tacos. I made these last night and they are easy and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs pre-seasoned Pollo Asada
  • 1 package Leaf Lettuce
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 jar Fresh Salsa
  • 1 package small Corn Tortillas

Directions

  1. Cook Polla Asada stove top on medium heat in a frying pan until done (about 20 minutes). You can also cook on the grill/BBQ.

  2. While the meat is cooking chop lettuce and avocado and heat corn tortillas. I heat them on broil in the oven, 1-2 minutes on each side.
  3. Cut pollo asada into small slices and place desire portion on the corn tortilla. Add lettuce, avocado and salsa on top. If you are feeling crazy you can also add cheese and onions.
  4. Serve! Sorry, I forgot to take the final picture before I ate them all up!

Makes about 10-14 tacos and is ready in about 23 minutes. We eat 2-3 each and save the rest.

Total Cost: $15.21. That is about $1 to $1.50 per taco. (in San Diego, CA)
